This region is inhabited by the Lenape Indian tribe at the time found by Itailia, Giovanni da Verrazzano. Although Verrazzano sail New York Harbor, his voyage did not continue into the upstream and instead he returned to the Atlantic. Dutch people to take it back for a while on Agustus1673, changed its name to “New Orange,” but then release it for ever in November 1674.
